Can the schluter kerdi board sc prefabricated shower curbs support the weight of a glass door or glass block wall.

I m planning on installing the kerdi curb with a frameless shower enclosure and i ve had the same concerns as you in terms of the curb supporting the enclosure. The curb is often done with a threshold piece angled slightly towards the shower for drainage. The glass installer is telling me due to the size of the enclosure approx 75 x 38 that clips will need to be installed in the curb. To install a shower door you would be drilling holes installing plastic sleeves and installing screws.

Yes these curbs will support these installations. 1a i assume as i didn t ask the schulter dude on the phone directly that putting up a glass shower surround about 72 high over the curbs would be ok wieght would like frameless but haven t had the glass guys. However some architects do specify level curbs when dealing with low clearance frameless doors.
